Audiveris OMR is an Optical Music Recognition software for the Common Western Music Notation,
working on printed music sheets to convert them into a machine readable form.
The Audiveris documentation set includes two essential parts:
- The first part is the handbook.
Meant for the end users, it focuses on how to:
- install and run the application
- understand the software features
- drive the OMR engine efficiently
- use the graphical interface to validate and fix the engine results
- The second part is this wiki, which gathers articles intended for the developers:
- The Git workflow, based on the
master and development branches
- The list of libraries that are direct dependencies of Audiveris, with their license, home page and main features.
- The high-level description of how a
Book is structured.
- The wiki still contains a chapter about the 6.x prototype, which was developed several years ago.
No convincing progress was made since that time, but this may change...
